The Thailand Environment Foundation (TEF) is a registered non-profit institution founded on 24 February 1993 in Bangkok to promote sustainable development by the implementation of policy research and study, grassroots action, public awareness, and training programs. The founding members of TEF are Professor Dr. Phaichitr Uathavikul, former Minister of Science, Technology and Environment; Mr. Kasem Snidvongs, former Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Sophon Suphapong, Member of National Legislative Assembly; and Dr. Dhira Phantumvanit, former President of Thailand Environment Institute (deceased). The Foundation operates through the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) in Nonthaburi.
