Sustainable Management of Mangrove Resources through Local Community Action

The ‘Sustainable Management of Mangrove Resources through Local Community Action' project was initiated in recognition of the need to work towards alleviating the damage brought about by the December 2004 tsunami that impacted southern Thailand . Expectations were for the emergence of a sustainable mangrove forest resource management process that involves the participation of local communities and other key stakeholders.
