This workshop is to introduce the course syllabus on Urban Climate Change Resilience and Governance and train participants on how to teach/present the course in their respective institutions. The one-semester (15 weeks) course covers a range of concepts, theories, and issues relevant to and important for understanding the challenge of climate change in cities. It explores how cities are responding to climate change impacts and forecasts, and how urban scholars assess these responses. The varied and competing ideas of resilience as a response to climate change and their varied frameworks for assessing and developing resilience will also be taken up.
