In celebration of the 10th International Noise Awareness
Day (set up by the League for the Hard of Hearing)
and to promote the culture of serenity in Bangkok,
Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development
(TBCSD) and the Cultural Environment Fund under the
Thailand Environment Foundation with cooperation from
the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Pollution
Control Department and the Department of Environmental
Quality Promotion hosted an public event to disseminate
the knowledge about the danger of noise pollution
to parents, to raise the awareness of the parents
to protect their children from noise pollution and
to promote the culture of serenity in Bangkok City.
The event, "Dads & Moms United Against Noise
Pollution", was held at Lumpini Park (Bangkok's
Central Park) in the morning hours of Sunday 24 April
2005. In this event, information about danger of noise
pollution, in the form of exhibition boards, handbooks
and awareness-raising media, were disseminated to
about 700 park-goers who come from all around Bangkok
and its vicinity. Comments and suggestions were also
taken.
Moreover, 4,000 handbooks and 2,000 questionnaires
will also be distributed through networks of the Thailand
Environment Foundation, such as hospitals and otologicgal
centers, universities, the Raklukfamily Group (along
with its Jun issue of Modern Mom magazines) and the
well-known Population and Community Development Association
(PDA). These 2,000 copies of questionnaire will also
be compiled along with comments and suggestions received
at the 24 April event to present to the Governor of
Bangkok later in June.

จัดกิจกรรมเผยแพร่ความรู้เกี่ยวกับมลพิษทางเสียงเพื่อการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและจิตสำนึกของผู้ปกครองถึงความสำคัญในการปกป้องตนเองและบุตรหลานจากภัยจากมลพิษทางเสียง
และเพื่อให้รวมใจกันต้านภัยเสียง สร้างสรรค์ให้กรุงเทพฯ
เป็น "เมืองสงบสุข น่าอยู่ ปลอดมลพิษทางเสียง"

ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมการแสดงละครใบ้ โดย "คนหน้าขาว"
การแสดงนิทรรศการเผยแพร่ความรู้เกี่ยวกับมลพิษทางเสียงและการจัดการมลพิษทางเสียง
การแสดงการตรวจวัดระดับเสียง การแจกคู่มือ "รวมใจคุณพ่อคุณแม่ต้านภัยเสียง"
และสื่อรณรงค์จิตสำนึก การให้ความรู้เรื่องมลพิษทางเสียง
และการรวบรวมความคิดเห็นของประชาชนทั่วไปต่อมลพิษทางเสียงในกรุงเทพฯ
เพื่อนำเสนอต่อผู้ว่ากรุงเทพมหานครต่อไป
