South Asia Water Security Initiative - Regional Workshop Facilitation

The regional learning workshop objectives are that: 

  • SAWASI project participants and their partners have the opportunity to share experiences, lessons and ideas following their initial planning / implementation phases, to help shape and improve the remaining SAWASI program. 
  • The capacity (skills and knowledge) relating to planning for, implementing and monitoring water sensitive city principles and practices in local and regional contexts and continued to be developed for SAWASI participants and their partners.
  • Innovative and new thinking regarding the application of water sensitive cities concepts in South Asia have been promoted (and their relevancy discussed).
  • SAWASI participants and their project parthers have an increased confidence in designing and implementing WSC practices, and the enabling structures that support it.
  • SAWASI partcipants and their partners develop stronger networks and relationships.
